Multimodal Philosophy

If you need sulphur, we’ll get it there!

  • Safely
  • On-time
  • Cost-effectively

By Road (Liquid)

  • Chemworth works in partnership with one of Europe’s most experienced specialised sulphur handling logistics providers; Franz Fischer.
  • It’s daughter company, Franz Fischer Logistics Solutions UK Ltd, supports Chemworth through it’s dedicated transport and expertise.
  • As a partner to the chemical industry for decades, Franz Fischer has one of the largest specialised liquid sulphur handing fleets in Europe.
  • Chemworth Ltd is proud to be affiliated with Franz Fischer Spedition Gmbh/Germany stemming from a working relationship between respective directors going back almost 25 years.
  • Safety is Franz Fischer’s No.1 priority, applying to both the hardware/technology used and it’s dedicated staff.
  • As well as Franz Fischer, Chemworth also uses many other hauliers on a daily basis.

By Road (Solid)

Chemworth uses established first class hauliers for it’s UK and EU distribution business. We strive to always deliver on time to our customers and use all safety measures that need to be adhered to. Chemworth has many years of experience in the safe handling, storage and transport of sulphur in all it’s forms. We have long-standing partnerships with marine & road transport companies which enable us to meet your needs on time, every time.

By Sea

Chemworth is able to export by bulk vessel by ports in the south of England. Sizes range upwards from a minimum parcel size of 2,500MT. Chemworth has gained a wealth of experience over the years in bulk vessel exports and is planning further projects for 2025 and beyond. Sales can be made on a FOB (free on board) or CFR (cost & freight) basis.

Customs / Incoterms

Since Brexit, we had been mostly working on a DAP (Delivered at Point) basis. We are pleased to announce as of November 2024 , Chemworth is registered in France with VAT and EORI. This allows us to deliver DDP (delivered duty paid) to any EU destination. This is a valuable, more seamless customs process for our EU customers.

We use agents that are part of an EU-wide alliance that allows customs processes to be synchronised between the UK and EU. This proves very effective for clearing times and works seamlessly for customers to receive their goods on time.

Chemworth has a dedicated storage site in Calais which allows us to keep stock for key customers in Europe. This helps negate some of the time delay risks of crossing the channel during busy periods.
